Archers in Action: News & Events ~ January 7, 2026

Happy Birthday, America! 2026 marks the 250th anniversary of our country and the Declaration of Independence. As we begin the celebration of our semiquincentennial, I want to direct you to a few resources:

-The Story of America is a series of short videos telling the history of our country.

-Find a copy of the Constitution and the Declaration of Independence booklet (free) and/or the Hillsdale Constitution Reader here.

I will continue to share resources over the next few months.

Please remember our car line procedures:

-Approach from the north and DO NOT turn left 7:30-8 and 3:30-4.

-Remain hand’s free–no cell phone use in the car line.

-Pull all the way forward, and do not pull around the car in front of you and cut back into the line.

-Remain in your car when it is in the car line. If you have to get out to help your student, please pull all the way to the front of the line or park to help them out.

NEW Procedures

-Please do NOT park in the fire lane in the senior parking lot. If there are empty parking spaces, you may use them, but having the extra lane of traffic causes stress for our student drivers.

-In the afternoon, do NOT double park in B1 and B2 lots. This has prevented people from leaving. If there are no open spots, please join the car line.

⭐January: 3rd Grade and House of Herodotus Stocks the Lounge!

Each month, one or two grade/house level(s) “Stocks the Lounge”—filling our teacher lounge with grab-and-go snacks and drinks to keep our teachers fueled and feeling appreciated all year long. January is 3rd grade and the House of Herodotus's month to serve!

This is more than just treats. It’s a simple, meaningful way to say thank you to the teachers who pour their hearts into our children every single day.

Every $10 in donations = 1 Archer Hour, so your gift not only blesses our teachers but also counts toward your family’s volunteer hours.

Let’s surround our teachers with the same care and encouragement they show our kids—help us fill the lounge and remind them how much they mean to the Founders family! All donations can be dropped off in B1 or B3 offices during the month.

Thanks to the generosity of our Founders families through Funds for Founders, the Archers Council was able to bless our faculty and staff with holiday bonuses before the break. Our teachers and staff were also treated to a small holiday celebration as a way to thank them for the care, dedication, and heart they pour into our students each day. We are deeply grateful to everyone who gave—your support made it possible to share this meaningful expression of appreciation with the people who serve our community so faithfully.

Re-Enrollment for all current families will open on January 12, 2026 in Skyward and close on February 6, 2026.

Log in to Skyward Family Access and look for the Re-Enrollment 2026-2027 tile. Select the icon to begin. You will then be able to view the information we have in our student information database about your child. Please validate, correct, and update all information fields.

All current students must complete re-enrollment to reserve their space for next year.

2025–2026 Tutoring Now Available

We are pleased to share the 2025–2026 tutoring opportunities! Skilled teachers are available to support students in a wide range of subjects. Recommended rates are $40–50 per hour, with advanced subjects ranging from $70–100 per hour. Please note that tutoring cannot take place on campus; families should arrange alternate meeting locations directly with the tutor. Click below for more information:

*New Attendance Reporting Procedures

Reporting an absence and other attendance related issues just got easier. You can now report early dismissal for athletics, early dismissals for student drivers, make alternate arrangements for student pickup, and report absences, all through our new online forms found here.

When the need arises, go to our school website at foundersleander.com. Navigate to one of three places - the Archers in Action page, Attendance page, or For Our Families tab to find a “Report an Absence” button. Simply click that button, find and complete the appropriate form for your situation and upload documents and correspondence directly to that form. Done! It’s that easy.

*Uniform Closet Donation Guidelines

The following school uniform items will be accepted as donations to our uniform closet:

Items with the school logo (including polos, jackets, spirit wear);
Plaid Wednesday formal skirts;
White Oxford shirts;
Girls jumpers;
Uniform ties and bows;
Belts

All items must be in good condition (clean, not stained or faded)

Volunteers must be approved each school year to be on campus.

Each school year, ResponsiveEd requires every volunteer to complete an online volunteer application and undergo a background check. Once you are approved, you must review the guidelines for Founders Archer Volunteers and sign a confidentiality agreement. Applications remain active for the current school year. A volunteer must reapply each school year regardless of their date of application. Please allow up to two weeks for processing of your application.
