Archers in Action: News & Events ~ September 9, 2026

Founders Classical Academy of Leander warmly invites our school community to join us for a 9/11 Remembrance “Patriot’s Day” Assembly on Friday, September 11, from 8:10–8:40 a.m. in the B3 Parking Lot next to the Flagpole (1303 Leander Drive).

This special ceremony is an opportunity for our community to remember, reflect, honor, and mourn as we commemorate September 11, 2001. We will also recognize first responders and local heroes for their courage, service, and dedication to the safety of our community.

First responders and local heroes please RSVP HERE so we can properly recognize those attending.

Visitor Check-In: All guests must check in at the Upper School or Grammar School office between 7:30–8:00 a.m. A driver’s license or photo ID is required. Please arrive by 8:00 a.m. to allow time for check-in.

Parents attending should drop off their students as usual and then check in at either office. Students will attend the assembly with their classes.

If you know a first responder or local hero, please invite them to join us. If a first responder in your life personally experienced 9/11 and would like to share their story during the assembly, please contact Mrs. Calderon at [email protected] or 512-259-0103.

We hope you will join us as we come together to remember, honor, and reflect.

Reminders:

September: Kindergarten Stocks the Lounge!

Reminders about carline: TURN RIGHT after approaching from the NORTH. Emergency personnel and clients who need to access our neighbors’ businesses need to be able to get by, so we can’t block both lanes of traffic. Additionally, the car line is faster for everyone when we follow the pattern.

DO NOT park along Leander Drive. Again, we are trying to be respectful of our neighbors, and your students are not allowed to cross the car line to get into cars. This is a safety issue.

When the single lane divides by Sherwood Forest, parents who are only picking up students in front of Buildings One and Two should get in the LEFT lane.

After you have picked up your student, pull forward until the end of the lane to MERGE. When you brake and wait to merge into the outside lane, you hold up the whole car line.

Do not go around cars in front of you–this is dangerous.

Pull all the way forward so there are no spaces between you and the car in front of you before you stop to let your student in the car. They will follow you along the sidewalk if you have to pull past them.

Only student drivers can pick up their siblings. Non-student drivers cannot. Please do not give the Upper sibling the car tag and ask them to pick them up and wait with them.

Please do not hold your cell phone in the car line.
