Mrs. Listenberger's 4th-period theatre class will perform Oscar Wilde's The Importance of Being Earnest on April 28 at 7 pm. The comedy, set in the 19th century, follows the protagonists Jack and Algernon- a pair of scoundrels whose intentional false identities lead to comical mishaps.

When young Cecily Cardew, ward of Jack Worthing, falls for Jack's mysterious brother Ernest Worthing, little does Cecily know that Ernest Worthing does not exist. Cecily truly loves Algernon Moncrieff. The beautiful and intelligent Gwendolyn, daughter to Lord and lady Bracknell and cousin to Algernon falls deeply in love with Jack Worthing believing him to be Ernest. Both women find themselves to be in love with Ernest Worthing when Ernest Worthing does not exist. This bit Algernon and Jack partake in could cost them their chance at love.

Come and enjoy a night of dramatic mishaps and continual bantering.
