Thanks to the 2023-2024 Archers Council and Committees! Y’all Have Left Big Boots to Fill!
Uploaded May 08, 2024
Without the Archers Council and our amazing volunteers our FCA community would miss out on so much that makes us flourish, like: Fall Fest, Fine Arts Showcases, new athletic equipment and instruments, and campus improvements, to name a few. When you volunteer your time, talents, or make a financial donation through Funds4Founders (F4F) to our school through the Archers Council, our community thrives!
Over the next week we want to recognize our Archers Council committees for their dedication and efforts throughout the school year, starting with the Archers Council Executive Board. Watch our website and social media platforms for spotlights on each committee.
Y’all have left big boots to fill!
The Archers Council Executive Board oversees all committees on the council and meets monthly to facilitate communication and take action on mission-based projects in support of the school. Thank y'all so much for giving of your time to serve our school community.

00:36 The Mission and Core Virtues of Founders Classical Academy of Leander
At a recent school-wide assembly, the Founders Leander administration and student body recognized students who have demonstrated outstanding character in one or more of our seven school virtues during the last school quarter. The student body began the assembly by reciting the school mission.

Character Award Assemblies are among the most important events that we hold as a school, because the moral qualities that we are here to honor are among the most important qualities that can belong to a human being.
"The mission of Founders Classical Academy is to train the minds and improve the hearts of young men and women through a rigorous, classical education in the liberal arts and sciences, with instruction in good character and civic virtue. "
Core Virtues
Students at Founders Classical Academy pursue a moral and intellectual education and are expected to behave in accordance with the following core virtues:
Courage: Remain steadfast when you are afraid. Be patient and persevere when the work is difficult.
Moderation: Temper the desires for pleasure, possessions, and esteem. Practice self-control.
Justice: Treat everyone fairly and with respect. Give what is due to each person and to the community.
Responsibility: Hold yourself accountable even when others do not. Seek to serve and to care for the common good.
Friendship: Be generous with your time and your talents. Seek the good of others as if it were your own.
Prudence: Deliberate before you act. Think before you speak. Practice good judgment.
Wisdom: Seek to understand and to dwell in what is True, Good, and Beautiful. -
3:41 A Day in the Life: Founders Kindergarten Featured
This school year, 48 kindergarten students began their journey in classical education at Founders Leander.
Uploaded Aug 17, 2023
Founders Leander is a liberal arts school where goodness and truth are pursued for their own sake, and where the humanities, the sciences, and the arts are taught together as parts of a complete and harmonious whole.
The curriculum at Founders Classical Academy is carefully selected. It teaches the liberal arts and emphasizes the moral and intellectual virtues through a content-rich, cohesive course of study.
The Grammar School (Kindergarten-6th Grade) curriculum focuses on a solid language arts core, comprised of explicit phonics, handwriting, and grammar, as well as Singapore math and the content-rich Core Knowledge curriculum. The classroom is traditionally structured and teachers provide direct instruction. Students are encouraged to improve their minds and their character in accordance with virtue.
At Founders Leander, we encourage our new Kindergarten friends to enjoy their journey. To cultivate a love of the just, the beautiful, the good, and the true, and to make the pursuit of these things a way of life.
Our thanks to Founders Leander high school student, Elijah Carter and 50 MM Studios, for generously providing his talents to produce this video. -
