Fine Arts
Visual Arts
At Founders, we teach Core Knowledge Art and Art History to students in Kindergarten through 8th grade. Students study elements of art, various mediums, time periods and art from around the world then recreate their own pieces. Art is displayed twice a year at our fall and spring showcases.
Beginning in 6th grade, students choose to emphasize in either Orchestra or Studio Art as part of their fine arts studies. All students through 8th grade learn both visual and music arts. High school students have the choice to take the Studio Art elective.
Music and Orchestra
At Founders, we teach Core Knowledge Music Theory and Appreciation to students in Kindergarten through 8th grade. Students study elements of music, composers, orchestra, opera, ballet, and jazz across multiple time periods and cultures. Our middle school and high school orchestras perform throughout the year at concerts and showcases.

Theater Arts
Theater Arts is offered at Founders to high school students beginning in 9th grade. Theater students explore the basic tools and techniques of acting, including body language, improvisation, character analysis and voice projection. This course emphasizes the essential vocabulary, history, and processes of theatrical production. Student training involves collaboration of an existing theatrical production. Students participate as both cast and crew.
